On Saturday May 15, seven volunteers with Northeast Animal Rescue set out on a mission to trap, vaccinate, spay/neuter and release cats and kittens left behind at Liddonfield Housing Development in Northeast Philadelphia. The property is currently being bid on by developers but its fate has yet to be sealed. Meanwhile, hundreds of cats and kittens are left, some being fed by people in the neighborhood but for Jayme Bader Rosenthal (above, last two photographs), cats and kittens wandering the streets, unvaccinated, is unsuccessful. Through the efforts of the volunteers, 5 cats were successfully captured, a number Bader Rosenthal is disappointed in, however leaves her satisfied for the time being.
