Alexandria Sacidor

Alexandria Sacidor, now a junior at Nazareth Academy High School, played varsity basketball and soccer during her freshman year but has been sidelined for the past two years due to what is amounting to a medical mystery. In Sept. 2007, her left leg began to shake uncontrollably. She’s seen more than 20 doctors throughout the nation over the past two years and has been tested for multiple sclerosis, lupus, Parkinson’s Disease, muscle spasms etc. None of them have been able to successfully diagnose her. After missing two full seasons of basketball and soccer — Alex stayed on both teams as a team manager during that time but could not play — one doctor suggested Botox shots. Two weeks later, last week, her leg stopped shaking. She is now starting to jog and will soon be running again. Alex plans to return to the soccer field next season.
