Robert Stubbs

This is Robert Stubbs. He lives in Tacony with his wife Mary Jo and his son John. Robert needs a heart transplant, Mary Jo also has heart problems and John has a form of Autism. Robert says that he wants to retire in a few years but does not want to be forced into retirement by his health problems. Robert and Mary Jo's alma mater will be holding a benefit for them in the coming weeks to raise money for a donated heart.

God Bless You Baby

Sid Sklar holds the photograph of the man who took a chance to restore his sight. Dr. Ramon Castroviejo performed a corneal transplant on Sklar on Sept. 17, 1941, the first ever in the country. At the age of 80, Sid is a successful artist and treasures this photo of the man who made his sight possible. The donated cornea was from a stillborn baby and every morning sid says "god bless you baby" to the baby who has given him sight.
