Prison Art Class
Angela Krafton, an arts instructor from Mural Arts of Philadelphia has been working with inmates for the past few years. She stands in a hall of the House of Correction in Northeast Philadelphia. The mural on the walls was completed by a class of juveniles that Krafton worked with.
Krafton works with inmates at the House of Correction. This week's lesson was on drawing a human face. Here, Krafton points out the difficulties of drawing an eye.

USS Becuna
Carl Vozniak Sr. is a member of Delaware Valley Chapter of Submarine Vets World War II since 1955 and leads tours of the USS Becuna at Penn's Landing since 1976. Vozniak was stationed on the submarine that picked up George Bush Sr.

Police vs. Fire

Remembering the past
Dr. Aaron Kuptsow recounts his time in service during WWII. Kuptsow has volunteered to tell his story as a part of a documentary on WWII that is being endorsed by State Rep. Mike Meehan.
Spts Washington-Frankford
George Washington wrestler Brett Somerer (top) takes on a Frankford player. Washington beat Frankford 33-32 in the Public League Championships last Friday. Frankford had previously been undefeated in the PLC for the last 11 years.
